This is an isoline map of the island of Maui. It uses contour lines to show elevation as well as rainfall amounts at those elevations. The thicker the line, the higher the rainfall totals. This map came from the ESRI website in an article discussing uses for GIS.  http://esri.com/news/arcwatch/0207/feature.html
